I actually tried the ClariPatch at Fest and they do, indeed, do what is
purported. What they do is fix problems with reeds (just about any) by
using them singly or in combination. I seriously considered by a set, but
the cost ( Pro - $148.00, Junior - $55.00) is what negated the deal. I am
still asking myself if I want a set and will probably by the Pro set, if
and when...... You do have to spend some time working with all the
combinations, so one must weigh the value/cost of the set. There have been
numerous times when I wish I had bought a set. This set is one of those
things in life that you have to decide whether you want to spend the money
or not. One can live without the product, but it does make life playing a
clarinet a bit easier. Simply put, the ClariPatch is a matter of
convenience.
