Dear Barb,

Thank you Ormondtoby for your kind words about my no-longer-available CD
"The Music of Sean Osborn". Mp3.com did die, and when it came back had no
classical section. No website has moved to take it's place in the same
way, though I'm considering re-releasing it on line at another site soon,
but slightly re-vamped with better-recorded tracks (more studio stuff, less
live stuff). In the mean time, I can email you tracks, or if you want to
send me a couple bucks to cover duplicating and shipping, I'll send you a
CD of my Sonata. When you get around to performing it, I would like to
hear your interpretation.

The Hindemith Quintet is indeed a very fun piece! The string parts are
quite difficult, especially the last movement, which is a palindrome of the
first movement. John Yeh has just recorded it, along with all of
Hindemith's other chamber music for clarinet on a great CD. The recording
quality of the Quintet is particularly good. It's always difficult to
balance CL and Strings because mics pic up the clarinet so much more than
the str. John also has a recording of the music of Easly Blackwood, which
includes his Sonatina for Eb clarinet and piano.

Cheers,

Sean Osborn
