Hi Bryan,

Good question you ask regarding the famous Gershwin
glissando. Your idea of doing the gliss over the entire
range sounds great. Lucky for me I've been able to do this
piece with some very open minded conductors and pianists
(Hyperion Knight for one) and we improved a couple
of choruses of a Gershwin tune with a clarinet cadenza
into the gliss. It was a blast! So, go for it!
