Those two incipits, one of the concerto the other of the quintet,
are indeed in Mozart's own hand. They exist in a small catalog
of his compositions that he began in 1784. And every time (well,
not really EVERY time) he created something, he made a notation
in his catalog what he had written and then created a four
measure incipit.

The story of that catalog of his compositions is a fascinating
tale.

Sure Dan, you have my OK. And I'm glad my life and property are
safe for the
moment. But I forgot to ask you one thing: The pictures of the
beginnings of
the two works on the front cover look somewhat like Mozart's
hand. Where did
you get those??
