The Bettony "Silva-Bet" is reputed to be among the best of the metal
clarinets, along with the Selmers. I have seen a double-walled Conn on
eBay which looked most fascinating, the body having the same diameter as
that of a wood clarinet. Conn made a lot of metal clarinets under the
Pan-American label, too.
