I might, indeed -- and perhaps I will. But I have been doing that sort of
thing all my life, even if not with these particular makers.

The thrust of my post was rather to suggest that in these last few days I'd
seen an alternative to a compromise or 'meld' solution -- where you try to
have an instrument that will do anything, more or less.

My experience in Israel was rather like having what I could recognise as a
perfectly engineered precision tool put into my hands. Even though I still
have to find out how I may best use it, it seems a step forward to organise
that it's *one* of my instruments.
