Oops - I'm sorry, then - it just made me laugh when I first saw it. It must
be me that has the devious mind...

Just for once in my life I wasn't!!!!!!
Look, if I'd wanted to cause trouble I'd have been needling people in a way
that I haven't in this one. I'm quite good at it if I want to.
But for once I didn't.

When a person asked the other day the meaning of Thanksgiving I didn't take
it to be quite so innocent. Certainly any of the erudite members of this
list know how to do a google search on "Thanksgiving".
So why ask a group of bashers the meaning of Thanksgiving? It looks like a
softball question waiting to be hit out of the park. Naturally some of the
severe critics of George Bush, may I say, "Haters", went to town. Abuse of
the indians, turkey slaughters, etc. But they do throw in some lip service
to "humility" etc. How gracious! Of course, I didn't hear the taboo word,
G-D, mentioned in the Thanksgiving explanation, as G-D is of course, passe
in these modern times.

You know, I'm inclined to agree with the first two sentences - Mathew is, I
suspect, an incorrigible stirrer (and long may he continue to be so) - but
why rise to the bait every single time? Lighten up - that's an American
phrase, isn't it?
