Yes. But 'a crime of opportunity' isn't the same as 'going out of your way
to steal it'.

The upshot is, don't leave it lying about at the bus stop. But equally,
don't fantasise about someone blagging their way past security just in
order to steal your Yamaha plastic clarinet; and, more importantly, don't
mistrust your colleagues in the bandroom.
