Thanks for your good advice. I had thought about
maybe getting a bigger case to put her smaller case
inside of.. Thas a great idea. I'll look into that.
As to the clarinet, yes we bought it new so it's ours
and not a rental. It just freaked me out that
somebody would take a piece of it. It's not unheard
of for instruments to disappear evidently in this
particular bandroom because a trumpet disappeared
although the student had accidently left it outside
the bandhall and when she remembered it, she had to
wait till next morning and by then it was gone. The
other was evidently an 1,100 buck buffet that was
stolen but I don't really know the story about that
one other than it was stolen.

What aggravates me I guess too is how nonshalant the
band director as well as four year high school band
students are about this kinda thing.
