Right on, bro! I think this is particularly applicable to voices.
I remember the first time I heard a recording of The Messiah with
period instruments at A=3D415 (or maybe it was 422, which was probably
H=E4ndel's preferred pitch). (This would be the venerable Hogwood/AAM
recording.) I was impressed by how pleasant many of the arias and
choruses sounded, and I noticed later how shrill the voices sounded
at modern pitch.
