What Forest then wrote gives a much better flavour of what we do than what
I wrote in my post.

The fundemental point is: there is just no way that 'in tune' can be captured
by what another subscriber here said about his clarinet setup a bit ago:
"Everything is 'on the needle' [of the tuning machine]."

In fact, it's really criminal to give the impression that that's adequate, or
even desirable.
