I trust you are also aware that it was Josph Goebbels who promoted the
current standard of 440Hz in Europe and even tried to enforce it on the
occupied Austrians?
Standards are always so-so...

Let me rephrase: There is only one INTERNATIONAL musical-pitch
standard. It's a pity that some European orchestras don't seem
to see the value in complying with it.
