The problems with "right wing nut jobs" is not that they disagree with
suicide bombers. As stated, "anything goes" attitudes qualify as no
morality and we should: "Do unto others as you wouldhave them do unto
you".

Here's another principle that finds its roots in legal philosophy:
"the only time that power should be exercised over a civil community
is when it prevents harm from others" - John Stuart Mill. Here's
another: "No man ought to harm another in his life, health, libery and
possessions" - John Locke. That one should sound familiar - it was put
into your constitution and only altered slightly, as were many of
Locke's ideas such as the separation of power.

By saying that you do not agree with homosexuality and abortion
(anything goes in sex), you deny people rights that don't harm you or
others. A democracy is not about the tyranny of the majority - it is
about liberalism - the rights of the individual, provided they don't
harm others.

What i can't understand, is that in the most liberal democracy in the
world, where the bill of rights is held as an almighty document, why
you worship the right to bear arms (which most first-world nations do
not agree with) and then deny people the privacy to do what they want
in their own homes in regards to sexuality.

Mitch
ps we have similar problems in australia, but not to the same extent
