My information isn't current but here goes:

There is Cedar Music in Flagstaff I know, I know its a bit of a plug. It
used to know the owners - and still do unless it has changed in the last 2
years. There is Muller Music in Tucson that has worked on my Bb in the past
with good results - note: That was probably 7 years ago. As for Phoenix
proper, I'm sure there has to be a few good stores near ASU in Tempe, but I
am not aware of them. As for renting a bass in Arizona, students
instruments will certainly abound, but better instruments were always
mail-ordered from out of state and purchased rather than rented when I was
there.

It is entirely possible that the availabilities have changed in my absence.

Hi,

Although I am living in France playing both soprano and bass clarinet
(and bari sax), I need help to find a good address of a clarinet
technician and music shop in Arizona.
I have been recently visiting family in Phoenix and one of the boy is
playing soprano and bass clarinet at school. He is in his second year
with the instruments and seems eager to progress. His non-musician
parents had difficulties to find a place where they could rent the bass
clarinet. Actually, both his instruments are really bad, difficult to
play and it is nearly impossible to get a descent sound with such
instruments.
Does anybody know good address in Arizona to buy or rent instruments
(not necessary in Phoenix) ?
