Nicholas - there will be big students with small sounds and small
students with big sounds.
I've had little girls who had huge sounds and big guys who I had to
work hard to keep them from closing down their setup or to keep their
wind from being constricted. Experiment with mouthpiece/reed amount in
the mouth, tongue position, constriction of the throat, double lip
embouchure to make sure that they aren't biting, getting a tone on
just the mouthpiece, then adding the barrel and checking the pitch,
and having a decibel meter can come in handy to measure actually what
they are doing sound volume wise and to measure progress.

As all is true below, the 2 students are so convinced that because of
their
size, that they cannot produce a forte sound through their horns.
