I'd like to plug a CD. I have no financial interest or personal
friendship.

The CD is "Genesis Concert".

I posted about this concert a year ago --- lots of bass and contrabass
instruments as part of a 100-piece orchestra with the normal complement
of strings, winds, percussion, etc. The orchestra includes some less
common orchestral instruments such as glass armonica, theramin, marimba,
harp, a few electronic instruments, serpent, harpsichord, hecklephone
and large acoustic pipe organ.

The contrabass instruments include triple bass viol, bass and contrabass
flutes (about 8-ft long) and clarinets and bassoons, the contrabass
saxophone of which I believe only one or two are currently in playing
condition on this planet, a subcontrabass tuba, contrabass sarrusophone
and trombone.

At the other extreme, there is piccolo and eefer and piccolo trumpet and
sopranino saxophone.

This recording is lots of fun. And regardless of the instruments, it
is (imo) good music.

Another important point is that, when something went wrong with the
'business' of bringing the recording to the marketplace (I do not know
what the difficulty was), the composer / performer / conductor did not
run away and hide. After a year of work (again, I don't know what was
required), the composer delivered the recordings which had been paid for
a year ago.
