Tony,
I don't doubt your experience at all, but remember it is only your
experience. My experience is just the opposite. I use the same embouchure
for all the clarinets and saxophones. I do change my embouchure for styles
(jazz vs classical and various jazz styles).
With all due respect, you are giving me anecdotes dressed in the clothing
of facts prefaced by "one has to...". There really are two schools, I
happen to be in the "same embouchure" school. As I said in my first
message, the results are what matters. I was just taught (and teach) the
lazy way.
