The band doesn't have to have saxophones. There aren't any in the
Mendelssohn Overture for Band (though there is a basset horn
part). So the fact that there are no saxes in the Wellington's
Victory fugue is nothing special.

Doesn't the band include saxophones? I don't hear saxes in the
Beethoven
