Karl,

It is unfortunate that I am not going to have the time to devote to this
topic that I wish I could, but I do want to make one clarification on your
very fine point.

The mistake made by directors and private teachers who work measure by
measure correcting everything that is wrong is not that they are shouldn't
try to correct what is wrong. The mistake is, rather, giving the student or
students music which is too difficult.

Forgive me if I am nitpicking and I have no doubt you already knew this,
but I thought it was worth being absolutely clear.
