What works best on my 1987 Buffet R13, aside from the "real" fingering
which has a good tone but tends to be a bit sharp for me, is the A key,
register key, 2nd and 3rd tone holes covered on the left hand, 2nd and
3rd tone holes covered on the right hand, and the right hand F/C key.
It may seem involved, but it sounds good and allows a pretty smooth
transition to the C above. I use this on throat A also.
