I have recordings of Benny Goodman playing both alto and baritone saxes in
his earlier days, which he did quite well. And remember, Artie Shaw was a
sax player FIRST and picked up clarinet later! Doubling is fun, and
provides many more playing opportunities. Remember, "Diversity =
