You know, I have had a copy of the Malcolm Arnold Concerto for years
(probably bought it in the mid to late '70's. I could never get my way through it. I
think I was disappointed, as I wanted it to be stylistically similar to the
"Three Shanties", his wonderful woodwind trio, or the Sonata for Clarinet and
Piano. It will be interesting and instructive to hear a performance.
