You may have caught me in an assumption error. He came to my
home with a Selmer basset clarinet and I think I may have just
assumed that it was the same instrument he used for the recording
with Hogwood. But since that is a period orchestra, he probably
had yet another instrument for that recording.

Which disc is that? I have the recording with the Academy of
Ancient
Music on a period basset clarinet (I imagine the same one I saw
Tony
perform on at the concert which we are discussing). I wasn't
aware Tony
had a modern-instrument recording as well.
