Women's libers aside, lets get real about it. Hardly any guy quits his
job to rear the children - women do it all the time. They even go as
far as to get their Masters Degree and work for a while, Doctorate
even - then it lays dormant if ever to be used again once they go into
the child rearing mode.
I'm not saying it's a good or bad thing, but it is reality!
And no, men aren't as focused on family as women are on a whole. There
are always exceptions, but it's almost always the guy who's working
late and the lady who's staying home w/ the young ones. The man's
priorities change, but work stays almost always near the top - not
usually as much the case for the lady and if they can swing it $$
wise, then work (outside) goes even further down on the priority list
as raising a family is a full time job.

There obviously is a big change in the ratio after
college and I think it probably has something to
do with the fact that women start having babies and
their priorities are with their children/families?
Sue
As apposed to what? Don't the father's priorities change as well
"after
women start having babies" and aren't men just as focused on
children/families when the baby arrives.....?????
My wife is a dentist....WE have two daughters...and she's still a
practicing
dentist. Why would this be any different for a woman musician?
Shame on you Sue ;-)
