Seriously, it's great to hear about men who truly share the child-rearing
responsibilities 50-50, but unfortunately overall, it's still the case that
women do most of the work when it comes to child-rearing and household chores.
Wasn't there just a Labor Dept. study confirming this? Even for couples who
split the housework 50-50 before having children, most become much more
traditional in the division of labor afterward, if I remember correctly what I
read about this study.
I'm an amateur, playing in community groups, and I agree that most of the women
(not all, but most) are either college age through mid-20s; have older or
grown-up children; or (like me) don't have any kids. Not many have babies or
kids under about age 12.
