You're probably giving them undeserved credit=2E I grew up in NJ, and our ba=
nd
director in Jr=2E High had us all buy Selmer HS* mouthpieces=2E This would h=
ave been
in 1966 or 1967=2E He acquired a bunch of them and sold them to us at a real=
ly=20
low price - I'm thinking $5=2E00, but I don't really remember=2E My guess is=
that he was not the only band director around at the time doing this=2E

I still have that mouthpiece and still play on it occasionally=2E The logo h=
as
nearly faded to oblivion, though=2E
