Hi all,
I may be having my tonsils taken out, at the ripe old age of 39. I have
sleep apnea and my sleep doc says he thinks I will benefit by having
them removed.
Anyone here had a tonsillectomy as an adult? How soon after the surgery
will I be able to play? Any special considerations I need to know about
because of playing a wind instrument? And, could this end up helping my
playing in the long run, in terms of air flow and breath control? I
sometimes feel that I have trouble mustering enough air for sustained
passages, especially on bass clarinet.
Thanks,
Donna
