It's the technique of articulation that recommends itself to anyone who
thinks carefully about what is involved, surely.

I think of it that way, and explain it that way to my students, despite never
having been taught it explicitly myself, nor even heard of Daniel Bonade
until well into my playing maturity.

Let's not create a mystique about something so simple.
