I used the tin whistle in "More I cannot Wish You", a solo. It's an
Irish style ballad, so I tried playing the flute part on a D tin
whistle, and the conductor liked it. I played the flute part as written.

Deadly serious question: was the tin whistle use within music?
And if so, it would have to be pitched. So what pitches does a
tin whistle come in.

On the other hand, Guys and Dolls has a cop or two in it and
maybe you just played the whistle whenever the cops broke up the
crap game.
