I can't believe with Claremont having a musicological faculty as
smart and knowledgeable as anywhere in the world, including Al
Rice who is one of America's greatest specialists in the history
of clarinets, you are still calling it the "Serenade No. 10," and
with all my yelling, you are not calling it the "Gran Partitta."
Jim, you have broken my heart!! For this, I will not permit you
to marry my daughter, who is beautiful, rich, and a terrific
percussionist. I may come down just to hiss and boo. (Who are
playing basset horns? And if you say you have decided to use
tenor saxes instead, you are dead meat. And please don't tell me
that you will use the Kalmus edition. That would be too much to
take in one day.)
