I've just been to the 2 local retailers who sold First Act instruments --
a local video, music & books chain outlet and Sam's -- and the displays
have disappeared. Hopefully, it has something to do with the fact that
the local paper did a HUGE story on them, quoting the music
superintendent and several local reapir people, plus others from around
the country. The weak reply from a company rep about how the instruments
are properly made and you can send them to some outfit in Connecticut for
repair just highlighted how bad these instrument-shaped-objects are as
something to get a kid to play well and enjoy the process.

The end -- for *this* year, anyway!
