Hang on! With the very greatest of respect, in his original post, the
inquisitor correctly used a question mark, thus indicating that he was
asking a question, albeit obviously tinged with a sense of levity. As
for the comment which is reproduced below, such bullying arrogance is
quite unbecoming and, dare I say, reckless. It seems to me that it was
clearly indicated that the inquisitor is indeed currently playing the
3rd clarinet part in Mahler 5, and was searching for some better
understanding of an aspect that he found confounding. If you found the
question, or the fact that he was playing the work in an amateur
orchestra contemptible, then you could always have ignored the post. Of
course, as I have only played the relevant part once myself, and I only
play in an amateur orchestra, I probably don't really have any right to
