Dear Clarinettists,

Just a sneak preview of my upcoming report about the 4th Germany Clarinet Symposium in Berlin from Oct. 1-3 2004.
It was, all in all, a wonderful experience but from my personal point of view, I would have to call it the "Surprise Symposium". More on that later as I had about four nights of four hours sleep and now I have been teaching all day. I'll write some more late tomorrow. (central European time!)

I very much enjoyed meeting my old teachers Alan Hacker and Dieter Klöcker. Also meeting people from the list was real fun and of course new aquaintances, new inventions, new models, great concerts, some great young talents. Even the weather was very kind to us.

A disappointment will also be included - but that was my fault.

Hope you're all curious! See ya'all tomorry!
