....but there *was* value (imo) in Rien's comment that music is huge
topic which encompasses many different environments --- not only
different cultures, but also different genres and performance media and
philosophies and venues and intentions, etc.

This is why, in my previous post, I included "here's a thought, not a
challenge". I didn't want Rien (or anyone else) to feel that I was
challenging his comment. I was only expanding upon it --- broadening
the horizon, so to speak.
