I was really, really sick for about 2 weeks and I was playing on all my reeds
and looking for the best couple for the upcoming concert. I was sick on the
day of the concert but I nailed the cadenza Solo I had been working on and
afterwards used the same reeds and mouthpiece and did not get sick again. I think
as it goes away it will leave your reed OK too...that is just my experience
though :) hope you find an answer :) maybe call a local repair shop and ask
them??? my local shop is always good about everything... good luck
