Hi Dan

I really had to force myself NOT to bid on your instruments. I have a
beautiful Buffet Crampon BC-20 B-flat instrument and a very much less
beautiful Boosey and Hawkes A instrument myself, but to be able to buy your
instruments was a temptation almost to strong for me. But I cannot afford
it. However it was only until I realised what my wife was going to say (and
she would be right about it!) that I could stand the temptation.

But I wonder: have you quit playing clarinet altogether (I'm sure you will
miss it!) or are you only playing your basset horn? But with the meagre
repertoire for that instrument you will have to play pieces not written for
it, and with your ideas about changing what the composer wrote ... .
