Note that in the latest Clarinet magazine, many top players are using =
Legere
synthetic reeds. I still favor Alexander Classiques. Make sure your =
try
the Classiques, not the DC or the Superial, for a classical thick cut. =
4/5
work great.

I've heard rumors that Vandoren is using South American cane...not sure, =
but
I'm finally done with them.

Can anyone tell me why I am having so much trouble
finding one reed that even works? I went through 2
boxes of Vandoren V-12 #4's and one box of Vandoren
#4's and found only 3 that actually played, but 2 of
them sounded incredibly airy and the third one was
good in the lower register, okay in the upper register
and bad in the altissimo registers. Does anybody have
any suggestions.
Thanks,
Chris
