As far as value, to a player who is selective....it depends on how it plays.
If in mint condition and a good player, I wouldn't pay more than $1000.
That's just me.
If it needs a lot of work....and it sounds like it does from your
description, it would be worth a lot less. "a good careful cleaning" usually
means a pad overhaul and you often find springs that are in serious need of
replacement. The instrument can't be put into regulation unless the springs
are in good shape...meaning that you can adjust spring tension and they will
hold it.....
Without cracks, with no bent or broken keys, I'd pay you $400 sight unseen.
