I think you should get a better mouthpiece. I have tried quite a few
(including some custom) but (so far) like the Vandoren B44 the best. I
also liked but didn't buy a Selmer, and a Woodwind #5 (which was cheaper
than the others).

Alto sax and alto clarinet reeds appear very similar to me, but I have had
better results with alto clarinet reeds. I found that 2 1/2 worked fine on
a borrowed Bundy, but when I got my Buffet I needed to use a 3 (same
mouthpiece).

You are probably not going to have a very even scale in the clarion
register on the Bundy, but at least some (maybe most) of the notes should
be good, if you have a decent mouthpiece and reed.
