I am the one who bid on the clarinets (clarinetman47) and lost in the last
5 minutes. Now that I lost, I am sort of glad- I am not sure whether they
are worth 1700+ apiece, and how could I do this without playing them
first! About a year ago I bought blind a set of Selmer Series 9 Bb, A, and
C from a list member and although they are good horns, my 1963 Buffet Bb
and 1977 Buffet A beat them tonally in my mind. And the C is a C! I hate
the way it feels to blow! All are in tune though.
