Dear Colleagues,

I have written a scale book to help myself learn the bass clef that I hope
will be of use to others. The left hand pages are in the treble clef and
then the same material is repeated on the right hand page in the bass clef.
By daily practise this way one gradually learns the bass clef. This is
learning the basics upon which lies the further more complex tasks of
jumping between treble and bass clefs (Rite of Spring), changing from treble
to bass clefs and reading the treble clef up an octave (Sorcerer),
transposing parts for bass clarinet in A (Pics, La Valse, Respighi, Mahler)
or transposing in the bass clef (Rocky 2 & 3, Symphonic Dances, Turangalila,
Gurre-Lieder) and doing all these thing together (Wagner's Tristan and
Isolde, Siegfried's Rhine Journey and Ride.)

So the Franck is a first step on this journey of knowing the bass clef and
again I suggest PRACTISE YOUR SCALES!
