Subj: [kl] Horns going sharp with rest or not
Date: Fri, 17 Sep 2004 00:52:29 -0400

My A clarinet did not get used for a while,
First time I ve given it a rest from some routine.

It plays for me about 8 cents sharper then my Bb, A442.
65 barrel.......a 66 on it is still sharp... I don t recall this before.

I presume there is enough shrinkage in the wood
with non-use to cause such a change. Or is that not a reasonable
presumption..... therefore it would just it be me.

Cheers
Dave Renaud
