Maybe you and your daughter should try recordings by the trio of Jimmy
Giuffre (clarinet + saxes), Steve Swallow (elec. bass) and Paul Bley
(piano) - e.g. Diary of a Trio: Saturday (Owl 059) and Diary of a Trio:
Sunday (Owl 060) - then start looking for a piano player.
