I might suggest a book that I have found useful. It may be too simple for
you but worth checking out.
"master solos" by Ramon Kireilis
It comes with a two books one for the piano and one for the clarinet. It
also has a CD that you can practice with. All pieces are short and are
progressive in difficulty as you go through the book. Siciliano and Minuet
by Bach is good and you could play either movement or both.

Subject: [kl] Solo recommendations for an almost beginner?

Sorry for that last blank message I sent.

Does anyone have any classical recommendations for an almost beginner in
clarinet? I've been requested to play a solo for my Unitarian Universalist
church in 3 weeks. The solo needs to be 2 to 4 minutes long. It can be a
complete solo, or a solo with piano or guitar accompaniment. I know that
there are some solos listed on http://www.jdhite.com/, but I'm not sure if
they meet my requirements. I don't want to order a bunch of music that I
won't play.

Thanks,
Morgan
