Morgan, since you have been requested to play by the Unitarian
Universalist church, why not a simple, familiar Christian hymn?
You should be able to find a favorite in a clarinet and piano
arrangement quite quickly and the church members might find such
a selection thoughtful.

Subject: [kl] Solo recommendations for an almost beginner?
Sorry for that last blank message I sent.
Does anyone have any classical recommendations for an almost
beginner in
clarinet? I've been requested to play a solo for my Unitarian
Universalist
church in 3 weeks. The solo needs to be 2 to 4 minutes long. It
can be a
complete solo, or a solo with piano or guitar accompaniment. I
know that
there are some solos listed on http://www.jdhite.com/, but I'm
not sure if
they meet my requirements. I don't want to order a bunch of music
that I
won't play.
Thanks,
Morgan
