Unfortunately, this is sort of like asking what is the best
pizza. Different strokes for different folks. Multiple fine professional
models are made by Selmer, Leblanc (now both owned by the same company, but
not yet blended), Buffet, Yamaha, and several smaller specialty
makers. The good news is that ANYTHING will be an improvement over your
Peddler. While the resources of Woodwind.org and the Klarinet list are a
fine place to start, nothing takes the place of trying as many as you can
and seeing what works best for YOU, both in performance AND price. Or, you
can be lazy and buy a Buffet R-13 like everybody else seems to. You won't
be WRONG to do that, but you may find something else that is even more RIGHT.

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is TOO LOUD!
