The NMA, which is a reliable edition, has a place for a cadenza
in the 2nd movement of the G major concerto, and an eingang in
the third movement.

In the D major flute concerto, there is a cadenza in both second
and third movements.

In none of the cases, are actual notes for a cadenza or an
eingang given in the score which allows one to conclude that
either the soloist would be expected to create one on the spot or
in advance, or else whatever Mozart might have suggested fot
those places is lost to us forever. I suspect the former.

Dan,

Something I have been meaning to ask (and possibly of some
general
interest). In the Mozart flute concertos are there cadenzes, or
eingänge
or possibly both?

Thanks,

Gary
