Hello All,

A bit of an update regarding Mr. Abato's recording of the Tchaikovsky
Violin Concerto (trans. for Clarinet and Clarinet Choir). I have contacted
the current owner of Golden Crest Records and have two pieces of
information to share with the list.

1. Harvey Phillips (of Burke-Phillips) has begun work on a reissue of all
three albums recorded. This would include the album with the Tchaikovsky
recording, namely:

CR 4040 The Burke-Phillips All Star Concert Band Vol.II

I will be investigating the status of these reissues very soon.

2. Golden Crest still has mint copies of all three Burke-Phillips albums
(LPs). The whole set can be purchased for $40, individual albums are $15. A
bit of information about these recordings can be found at:

www.jfbcornet.com

If you'd like contact information, please contact me directly. I'm hesitant
to broadcast someone else's email address.

Additionally, I have been asked if the Cailliet arrangement for Clarinet
and Clarinet Choir of the Tchaikovsky is available. Mr. Abato no longer
owns a copy, but it seems the ICA library does have it. Leblanc appears to
have published it (and was more than likely involved in the commission).
Best to check with the ICA library:
