One more thought about how to understand them............

The stretch is outward from A440 in both directions

So above above A440 the stretch is up but not of much consequence
untill above clarion A.

But below A440 the stretch is down, but of little consequence to
untill the very very the bottom of the instrument. Ou Low E_F usually
corresponds
to the tenor/bass break in a piano, where the tenor strings often really
have sharper harmonics. The extream bottom clarinet few notes might
seem sharp because the piano is stretched to 1 to2 cent flat here.
(depending on instrument).

Beyond this for bass clarinet a piano is stretching downward.
On a good instrument 3-5 cents, up top 6-8 at the very bottom of the piano.
On a bad piano with wonky bass, 16-20 cents in the lowest bass...
........terrible to play with.
