There are in addition several works for modern basset clarinet by Maxwell
Davies and Birtwistle. Indeed, the very recent "Io Passions" chamber opera
by Birtwistle, which I saw recently in London and have to say is magnificent,
is scored for singers, actors, basset clarinet in A and string quartet.
